Stretching from Barcelona in the south to the French border in the north, the Costa Brava is probably Spain's most famous stretch of coastline. Paleolithic man, the Romans, the Moors and the Christians have all left their mark on this "wild coast" but, even with some overdevelopment in recent years, it remains enchantingly beautiful.
Turquoise blue waters meet gently shelving sand and rugged pine-clad cliffs, whilst dotted among the buzzing resorts are unspoilt fishing villages, ancient castles & snow-capped peaks.
Sun, sand and sangria are readily available for those who want it but the Costa Brava's awe-inspiring scenery, rich history and sensational seafood mean it still remains Catalunya's Mediterranean jewel.
