We tried a flotilla sailing holiday with Sunsail and chose to go for the Ionian islands such as Kefalonia, Levkas, Meganissi & ithaca... some truly stunning islands with everything from pretty little harbours to deserted deep blue coves. The Aegean islands of the northern Sporades are also a popular choice for cruising the islands... you can sail to islands that are rarely available through traditional package holidays... All in all, I would thorughly recommend cruising the Greek islands in your own private boat. Even if you have no sailing experience at all, most sailing holiday operators offer fully skippered boats where an experienced sailor will guide you around the islands whilst helping you to learn how to sail for your next trip.
