As in much of central Europe, Slovenia has a mixture of religious holidays and traditional holidays celebrating freedom and independence. In Slovenia, the religious holidays tend to mean reduced public services and opening hours whilst the State holidays, such as Rudolph Maister Day, are not a work holiday and therefore have little impact on visitors.
