Public Holidays in Portugal |
If you're planning a trip to Portugal, it's worth considering the dates of the Portugese public holidays.
Portugal has a mixture of religious & national holidays which are celebrated everywhere from the capital Lisbon to the Algarve coast and the island of Madeira. You will find that all banks, the majority of shops and most public buildings such as museums will be closed on these public holidays. However, bars and restaurants in the major cities and tourist areas will tend to remain open.
