Don't miss the antique and spice shops at the souks (markets)... we found some great bargains. Saffron still really expensive though
Probably the next Dubai in the distant future, because it doesn't look that way now. But the beaches and the sunsets are lovely.
We were surprised by how much we enjoyed Muscat. The Al-Mirani and Al-Jalali forts are definitely worth visiting if you want a break from just chilling out.
Muscat is capital city of Oman but still relatively small and to explore. Old city has many treasures dating to the second century. Especially not to be missed is Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque.
