Mexico has a variety of public holidays, some of which are statutory holidays where everyone has the right to a day off. Others
are traditional civic holidays that are not compulsory but are often granted.
In addition there are many local area holidays.
Holidays falling on a Saturday or Sunday to NOT generate an additional compensation day of holiday.
