Japan has a variety of traditional national holidays so there is a good chance of there being at least one holiday during your
stay there.
Holidays falling on a Sunday generate an additional compensation holiday the following day. Furthermore, any day that falls between two
other national holidays also becomes a holiday, known as a bridge holiday.
