At over 450 feet wide, Avenida 9 Julio is the widest avenue in the world. It was named in honour of Argentina's birthdate, July 9, 1816 and the Obelisk was built in 1936 to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the founding of the city.
We took the walk from here up to the Laguna Los Tres and the Fitzroys... DO NOT DO THIS unless you are a reasonably fit person with no health problems. It is a seriously strenuous climb. Worth every foostep once you get there though!

Once in a lifetime experience. In Patagonia you can find many glaciers like this. Hope that they survive in this climate as long as possible.
After a big climb I sat on almost this exact spot and drank some yerba mate - Argentian tea - with some fellow trekkers. Great memories.
Tierra del Fuego
The views are amazing, nothing like anything i have seen before. The water so blue…. i've been a few times and regardless of the weather its the most wonderful place to visit!
Take the chair lift up to the impressive Martial Glacier and drink in the view down to the beautiful Beagle Channel below.
