Canterbury Travel Guide

Q: If I’ve got a beard in my passport photo, but now I’m clean-shaven. Is this a problem?
A: The official Home Office line is: Where there is a permanent and significant change to your face, such that you cannot be identified from your passport photograph, then you must apply for a new passport at your own cost. Whether that applies to beards is open to interpretation. More info on the Identity & Passport Service website.

Lynn Caldwell says:
"Castle street Shops are set back from the main cobbled high street areas. This is the place that steers away from the usual highstreet brand shops. If you follow the road all the way down towards the car parks, you will find charming little galleries, beautiful jewelry shops. This is the place to go for something truly unique. Maybe a special present for a loved one, or maybe you want to treat yourself? The very act of walking through these historical streets will bring much pleasure, and there is always something you will find intriging. Well Worth a visit. "
