Lois Ronberg says:
"Piercing up through azure blue waters the Faraglione rocks are best viewed from the scenic lookout on the edge of Anacapri’s Gardens of Augusta. You get to this stunning spot by waking through the town and on out past a monastery ruin in to the beautifully set gardens and up to the lookout. I guess the three massive rocks would be just amazing viewed from the sea but I can truly say the sight as you look down on them, so close, is mind blowing. You get more of an idea of how huge they are when a recreational craft goes past them, the boat looks like a little cork bobbing along. These three rocks, average height 100metres, have survived all sorts of geological activity over thousands of years and are a must for keen photographers, whatever angle. The first one, Stella is attached to the land, the second Faraglione di Messo has a natural tunnel through it and the third, further out into the Mediterranean, is Faraglione di Fuori and is the only place on the planet where you would see the blue tinted lizard. The Gardens of Augusta scenic lookout is also the best place to see another Capri tourist attraction. Look down on the via Krupp, built in 1902 this extremely narrow ‘road’ is now closed but its zig-zag path down to the sea is stunning. It quite allured me and I was disappointed I could not walk down but then I realised the walk back would be ever so steep; just as well there’s no pedestrian access now. The views of Capri and its surrounds are superb as you wind your way up from the township, but this view from Anacapri, onto Faraglione Rocks is one I will remember forever."
