Belfast Travel Guide

Q: I would like to know why single travelers must often pay almost twice the price for a holiday compared to the price per person that couples pay?
A: This is a common complaint about among single holidaymakers and travellers. Hotels frequently charge single supplements in an effort to maximise their revenues per hotel room. However, things are improving and holiday companies such as Thomson Holidays For One and Thomas Cook Singles Skiing are starting to offer better deals for solo travelers.

Kenny G says:
"Set in Cavehill Country Park, this really is a great spot for a sunny day. The spectacular views of Belfast and the surrounding countryside are worth the trip alone, but the castle is also quite interesting... it's not much more than a hundred years old and so is really more of a country house than a traditional old castle."
