Batchworth Travel Guide

Q: We would like to travel from Glasgow down the coastline to Bladnoch distillery. What is the best route to take in much of the coastline?
A: From Glasgow head east on the A737 and A760 to the coast at Largs. Then follow the A78 down the coast to Ayr and then the A719 to Turnberry. Then the A77 as far as Stranraer at which point you will need to start heading inland towards Bladnoch.

Terry Emery says:
"Good heavens - been there;played there! The 'tour' shows what is certainly a pleasant and comfortable bar/lounge area but unfortunately misses out the course itself which is the real reason to visit. Good challenge - though not an insurmountable one even for a 'teens' handicapper like me and extremely attractive. Right now, at the start of Autumn, absolutely lovely. Although not an old course, the mix of mature and newer trees look terrific, really glowing (unlike my golf). Not a turn-up-and-pay green fees club, but if you can find a member - all very friendly - well worth it. "
